📋 Description

• Perform data cleaning, transformation, and analysis of financial and agricultural data using Excel • Conduct advanced data analysis for USDA AMS reporting • Provide Information Technology Center Support as a Data Analyst for Agriculture and Food sector clients • Support the USDA Agriculture Marketing Service Cotton & Tobacco Program • Create, modify, and troubleshoot VBA macros for data entry, reporting, and analysis automation • Use Power Query and Power Pivot for data modeling and analysis • Build and modernize Excel templates with complex formulas, charts, and financial analysis tools • Optimize workflows involving budget formulation, financial reporting, and user-fee billing and analysis • Prepare and modernize budget, expense, salary, benefits, revenue, and loan premium/discount reports • Integrate Excel with databases and manage large datasets • Generate daily, monthly, and annual statistical reports related to cotton prices, user fees, and revenue • Manage Excel file versions and track changes across multiple divisions • Diagnose and fix errors in formulas, macros, and linked workbooks • Create user manuals and documentation for updated spreadsheets and systems • Deliver basic training sessions for end users • Collaborate with USDA Cotton & Tobacco divisions to understand spreadsheet needs and deliver customized solutions • Ensure work products are accurate, documented, compliant, and delivered according to milestones

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Data Science, IT, Financial Analysis, or related field • 5+ years of experience • Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Expert in Excel certification • Certified Data Analyst (CDA) certification • Strong background in financial analysis, data management, or agricultural economics relevant to the USDA AMS Cotton & Tobacco Program • Expertise in VBA for creating, modifying, and troubleshooting Excel macros • Experience with Excel Power Query and Power Pivot • Advanced Excel proficiency, including PivotTables, macros, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, complex formulas, charts, and automated reporting • Experience building and modernizing Excel templates • Understanding of budget formulation, financial reporting, and user-fee billing and analysis • Familiarity with USDA reporting requirements • Expertise creating user manuals and documentation • Experience delivering training sessions for end users • Experience preparing budget templates, exhibit expense templates, and personnel salary and benefits tracking reports • Experience integrating Excel with databases such as SQL or Access • Ability to manage large datasets • Knowledge of financial modeling and cash flow analysis • Proficiency generating daily, monthly, and annual statistical reports • Version control and troubleshooting skills for Excel files, formulas, macros, and linked workbooks • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Adobe • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools • U.S. citizenship required • No visa sponsorship; H-1B and TN visas are not supported • Subject to background checks and possible drug testing • Subject to regulatory and mandatory training requirements
