• Develop and execute the organization’s clinical strategy to advance quality, outcomes, and operational performance • Provide leadership and oversight to regional and program-level Clinical Directors • Consult with the SVP and executive leadership on clinical operations, program development, risk areas, and emerging trends • Lead implementation and fidelity monitoring of evidence-based practices and treatment models, including ASAM and trauma-informed care • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation requirements, including OMHSAS, DDAP, CARF, and state accrediting bodies • Guide programs through audits, licensing renewals, and regulatory corrective actions • Review, approve, and maintain clinical policies, protocols, and procedures • Monitor clinical metrics such as engagement, length of stay, outcomes, and readmission rates • Lead performance improvement initiatives and establish clinical performance indicators, peer review processes, and corrective action plans • Evaluate program performance using data-driven methods • Mentor and develop clinical leaders and interdisciplinary teams • Support training, competency assessments, and credentialing processes • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Business Development, and Payer Relations • Support payer negotiations and Value-Based Purchasing initiatives • Ensure efficient and ethical utilization of clinical resources while maintaining client safety • Identify behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, and integrated care trends • Lead implementation of new clinical programs and technology solutions • Represent the organization at conferences, regulatory meetings, and external stakeholder collaborations • Maintain confidentiality and complete required trainings • Travel to programs and meetings as needed • Provide direct oversight, coaching, leadership development, and performance management for clinical leadership roles
• Master’s Degree in a behavioral health-related field required (e.g., Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing) • Licensure required: LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor) OR LCSW-C (Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Clinical) • 7–10 years of progressive clinical leadership experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder settings • Demonstrated experience with regulatory bodies such as OMHSAS, DDAP, CARF, and other relevant licensing authorities • Experience leading multi-site or multi-state clinical operations preferred • Experience with payer relations, outcomes measurement, and performance improvement initiatives strongly preferred • Advanced clinical knowledge related to behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment modalities • Ability to analyze complex data and drive informed, strategic decision-making • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands • Capability to lead change, motivate teams, and foster a culture of continuous improvement • Ability to navigate crisis situations and exercise sound judgment • Must maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards • Must provide own transportation • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
