📋 Description

• Lead and manage design, preconstruction, and construction activities for assigned projects • Manage multiple campus projects and maintain budgets, schedules, and status reports • Create and communicate monthly development program and project status updates for executive-level reviews • Develop master development programs, campus design solutions, and capital budgets with stakeholders and design and construction teams • Manage entitlement and permitting requirements • Implement and manage multi-phased site development plans to meet time, budget, and quality standards • Write scopes of work and participate in procurement and project cost estimates • Evaluate and level pricing proposals for design, construction, and commissioning services • Coordinate equipment procurement and delivery with strategic procurement • Coordinate submittals with site stakeholders • Monitor project budgets and cost-to-date • Establish schedules and manage teams to on-time completion • Review and approve contractor monthly pay applications • Review and negotiate contractor change order requests • Establish construction security procedures with the site security team • Develop and communicate product deployment plans • Collaborate with Sales Engineers and Product teams on custom solutions for prospective clients • Maintain relationships and serve as liaison with QTS stakeholders • Represent QTS in OAC meetings • Build relationships to strengthen QTS’s data center real estate leadership • Support due diligence for potential new sites • Enhance project management processes and protocols with the internal development team • Interact with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Vendors, and Data Center Operations staff

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience • Five or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures • Experience managing Lump Sum, Construction Management @ Risk, and Design Build project delivery methods from conceptual development through procurement to close out • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for executive-level program updates and Excel for site program and project budgets • Ability to travel as needed for the business • MBA, Masters in Engineering, Management, or related field desirable • Experience delivering mission critical data center facilities • Extensive experience managing MEP trades
