📋 Description

• Provide technical leadership and engineering expertise for overhead and underground electrical distribution system projects. • Apply client standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements to the design and execution of distribution projects. • Support project execution by managing assignments, monitoring performance, resolving technical issues, and maintaining strong client relationships. • Develop and oversee engineering design packages using client-specific software and design tools, including Distribution Design Studio, Pole Foreman, Design Manager, WMS, and AutoCAD. • Perform QA/QC reviews of engineering and design deliverables to ensure technical accuracy, quality, consistency, and compliance with project requirements. • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers through training, design reviews, and knowledge sharing. • Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to support successful project delivery. • Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, design standards, team performance, and technical capabilities. • Maintain productivity and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline) from an ABET-accredited institution. • 5-8 years of experience in electric utility distribution engineering and design. • Experience designing and supporting overhead and underground distribution systems. • Knowledge of utility distribution standards, NESC requirements, and utility construction practices. • Proficiency with utility design and work management software, including Pole Foreman, Design Manager/Electric Office, WMS, AutoCAD, or similar platforms. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. • Experience preparing, reviewing, and coordinating engineering design packages and construction work orders. • Strong communication, interpersonal, and client relationship management skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent organizational, document management, and attention-to-detail skills. • Demonstrated ability to perform technical reviews and ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance of engineering deliverables. • Experience mentoring and providing technical guidance to engineers, designers, and technical staff.
