📋 Description

• Execute commissioning and testing of protection & control schemes and systems for electric utility substations and plants • Red-line design documents throughout drawing sets, including Single Line, AC/DC Elementary, Wiring, Panel Arrangement, and Bill of Material/Material List • Perform End-To-End testing • Perform manual and automated IED testing using test sets such as Doble 6150, Omicron, and Manta • Identify risks associated with testing and commissioning protection and control schemes and systems • Develop test plans and risk assessments • Analyze scope and drawing interpretations to create comprehensive functional guidelines and risk assessments • Lead people and tasks within larger projects or provide technical and people leadership on well-defined projects • Perform weekly site safety inspections • Lead the application of HP with Project Lead approval • Support Company and Customer policies and procedures

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in relay testing and commissioning in substations • Experience in handling simple volt-ohm-meter and working with hand tools • Experience in reading and interpreting One Line, AC & DC Elementary and Wiring diagrams • Ability to perform regular field work in various work environments, conditions and weather • Valid driver’s license and good driving record • Ability to communicate effectively in English, including reading and writing • Ability to execute commissioning and testing of protection & control schemes and systems • Experience with Intelligent Electronic Devices (IED), SCADA systems, and communications media between IEDs • Ability to work with devices including relays, meters, Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), Digital Fault Recorders/Transient Recorders (DFR), IEC-61850 media converters, and intelligent logic devices
