📋 Description

• Provide technical leadership and engineering expertise for overhead and underground electrical distribution system projects • Apply client standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements to the design and execution of distribution projects • Support project execution by managing assignments, monitoring performance, resolving technical issues, and maintaining strong client relationships • Develop and oversee engineering design packages using client-specific software and design tools, including Distribution Design Studio, Pole Foreman, BOUD, Maximo, and/or AutoCAD • Perform QA/QC reviews of engineering and design deliverables to ensure technical accuracy, quality, consistency, and compliance with project requirements • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers through training, design reviews, and knowledge sharing • Communicate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to support successful project delivery • Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, design standards, team performance, and technical capabilities • Maintain productivity and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving work environment

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline) from an ABET-accredited institution • 8+ years of experience in electric utility distribution engineering and design • Experience designing and supporting overhead and underground distribution systems • Knowledge of utility distribution standards, NESC requirements, and utility construction practices • Proficiency with utility design and work management software, including Pole Foreman, Maximo, BOUD, DDS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar platforms • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications • Experience preparing, reviewing, and coordinating engineering design packages and construction work orders • Strong communication, interpersonal, and client relationship management skills • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Excellent organizational, document management, and attention-to-detail skills • Demonstrated ability to perform technical reviews and ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance of engineering deliverables • Experience mentoring and providing technical guidance to engineers, designers, and technical staff
