📋 Description

• Ensure patient visits are financially cleared before the date of service • Serve as a subject matter expert and go-to resource for peers on complex registration, insurance, workflow, and patient financial responsibility matters • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits • Calculate and document patient liability estimates • Secure prior authorization, provide Notices of Admission, obtain referrals, and verify medical necessity • Escalate cases where Financial Clearance may not be obtained to appropriate stakeholders • Resolve insurance coverage and authorization discrepancies identified through quality assurance tools • Work denials related to referrals, authorizations, notifications, non-coverage, and medical necessity, including coordinating rebills, appeals, and retro authorization • Interact with providers, payers, patients, and hospital-based personnel • Perform duties accurately and timely while providing exceptional customer service • Work within a remote call center environment free from distractions and background noise • Observe privacy, safety, and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly

🎯 Requirements

• Proficient in typing • General knowledge of medical terminology • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in English, verbally and in writing • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills • High school graduate or equivalent • Ability to work within a remote call center environment free from distractions and background noise • One year of related experience in the medical field is preferred
