📋 Description

• Move completed data science projects into production by packaging Python environments, setting up monitoring and alerting, and watching for problems after release • Own and maintain the promotion pre-flight checklist for each release • Determine when tasks should remain manual, become runbooks, or become code • Triage and fix pipeline failures • Work with upstream data owners when source systems, credentials, or schemas change • Track incoming project demand so operational needs are identified before project delivery • Write runbooks and documentation that others can follow independently • Administer users, groups, code environments, and cluster policies in platform consoles • Support automation requirements and design reviews • Support 10+ data scientists operating production analytics and ML pipelines on Dataiku and Databricks

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience • 7+ years in MLOps, DataOps, data engineering, or platform operations • Production experience operating an enterprise data science or ML platform such as Databricks, Dataiku, or a comparable enterprise platform (SageMaker, Microsoft Fabric, Domino) • Experience learning a new platform on the job, driving migration, team adoption of a tool, picking up a stack midstream, and ability to talk through these experiences • Hands-on experience with the AWS stack (S3, IAM, Redshift) • Strong Python, including environment management • History of supporting data scientists or analysts from development into production • Calm triage and clear incident communication • Comfort participating in constructive technical debates across all levels • Clear writing style • Must be authorized to work in the United States • Employment visas are not sponsored • Approximately 10% domestic travel annually • Active participation in virtual meetings, including regular camera use • Certification cannot be substituted
