📋 Description

• Own end-to-end category strategy, sourcing, and supplier management for HR Total Rewards and Payroll spend • Develop and execute multi-year category strategies informed by market intelligence, spend analysis, and stakeholder priorities • Lead complex RFI/RFP/RFQ sourcing events for benefits carriers, payroll processing/HRIS platforms, and related services • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and SLAs with major providers • Manage supplier relationships and performance through QBRs, scorecards, and SLA governance • Identify and deliver cost savings, cost avoidance, and process efficiencies; track and report savings targets • Partner with HR/Total Rewards and Payroll leadership as the primary procurement business partner • Assess and mitigate supplier risk, including financial, operational, data security/privacy, ERISA, ACA, and state payroll regulatory risks • Manage contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, and terminations • Mentor or guide junior category managers/analysts as needed • Participate actively in virtual meetings, including regular camera use • Work 100% remotely from home on an East Coast schedule

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Management, HR, or related field • 10 years of progressive procurement/category management experience, with direct experience sourcing HR/HCM, benefits, payroll, or related professional services categories • Demonstrated experience negotiating large, complex service contracts • Strong understanding of HR Total Rewards and Payroll vendor landscape, including Workday, Alight, and benefits carriers • Familiarity with data privacy and compliance considerations specific to HR/payroll data • Strong analytical skills, including spend analysis, TCO modeling, and business case development • Adept negotiation skills in pay for performance and shared risk allocation in agreements • Ability to lead cross-functional business meetings, develop and deliver clear presentations, and communicate with stakeholders • Solid business acumen and understanding of business structures, processes, and information flow in a multi-line-of-business organization • Appearance on video required daily and frequently for meetings • Professional workspace required in work-from-home setting • Must be authorized to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not provided • CPSM, CPM, or similar procurement certification preferred • Knowledge of HCM/HRIS/payroll systems from a sourcing/vendor selection perspective preferred • Prior shared services or enterprise procurement experience preferred • Commitment to the non-profit sector and its values preferred • Ability to use a personal computer, applicable software, and office equipment for sustained periods • Operational flexibility to meet sudden and unpredictable needs
