📋 Description

• Define a unified user understanding framework and long-term technical strategy • Lead advanced user models and large-scale representation learning across Feeds, Notifications, Search, and Ads • Leverage LLMs and GenAI for dynamic user profiles, intent inference, and semantic reasoning • Design storage, retrieval, feature pipelines, APIs, and large-scale learning and serving components • Ensure low-latency serving, high availability, and MLOps integration • Drive experimentation and adoption with Feeds, Notifications, Search, Ads, product, infrastructure, and downstream ML teams • Mentor senior and staff engineers, lead design reviews, and establish engineering best practices

🎯 Requirements

• At least 10 years experience building and scaling production-grade ML systems, particularly in user modeling, large-scale representation learning, or recommender systems • Track record of driving ambiguous, high-impact initiatives from concept to production • Strong fundamentals in representation learning, behavioral modeling, and user clustering • Experience or strong intuition applying LLMs or foundation models • Systems thinking across data, training, evaluation, serving, and adoption • Ability to partner with product, infrastructure, and ML teams • Experience mentoring senior engineers, leading design reviews, and establishing best practices • Ability to navigate trade-offs across quality, latency, cost, and safety
