• Design, build, and maintain complex enterprise-scale platforms and architectures • Provide non-managerial technical leadership by instructing, coordinating, directing, and reviewing technical work • Develop and promote standard operating procedures and policies for operating platforms • Ensure Enterprise Architecture principles, standards, and architectural approaches are followed • Lead continuous improvements to software development and operational processes • Provide technical direction for project deliverables to onshore and offshore development teams • Review business requirements and technical analysis documentation and develop system implementation approaches • Consult with Solution and Enterprise Architects • Support at least two complex technical operating environments • Lead code reviews and ensure appropriate unit test coverage • Perform system administration and software development tasks as needed • Provide input for performance reviews and hiring or promotion decisions • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support and resolve escalated IT issues • Review application performance metrics and advise development teams on enhancement opportunities • Oversee development, configuration, coding, testing, and debugging of complex software • Lead and assist application programmers in defining application scope and objectives
• Demonstrated mastery of software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations • Deep understanding of object-oriented programming methodologies • In-depth understanding of eCommerce application development and optimization and A/B/MVT testing • Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban • Knowledge of cloud architectures, services, and DevOps practices in AWS, Azure, Google, or similar platforms • Advanced proficiency in Native JavaScript • Advanced proficiency with Angular, Node, Bootstrap/Material Design, CSS3, and HTML5 • Experience with CSS preprocessing such as LESS/SASS • Experience with front-end build tools such as Gulp, Grunt, and Webpack • Experience with JavaScript testing frameworks such as Jasmine and Karma • Experience with front-end components such as Bower • Experience with JavaScript compression and minification such as Uglify • Experience with Git and Jenkins • Experience with code analysis tools such as PMD, Checkstyle, Findbugs, and Sonar • Experience consuming RESTful web services • Understanding of web performance optimization techniques • Experience integrating with content management systems such as Drupal • Experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, vROPS, and Splunk • Experience with TeaLeaf • Accountability, sound decision-making, analytical thoroughness, and clear and concise communications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, and/or 10 years of related experience • Minimum 8 years of experience in software development focused on web and mobile technologies • Previous experience developing highly transactional, mission-critical applications for multi-user systems • Must be available during Arizona business hours (Mountain Standard Time) • Position is not sponsorship eligible
