📋 Description

• Support the Project Manager on single-family residential projects • Perform energy modeling of residential construction plans in REM/Rate, Ekotrope, and other software to determine projected HERS Index and compliance • Review model compliance with energy efficiency goals • Create Energy Compliance Analysis (ECA) and Energy Compliance Specifications (ECS) reports with recommended building specifications • Work with the Project Manager to deliver ECA/ECS results to clients • Complete plan reviews for compliance with applicable codes and standards • Assist project teams with technical questions • Perform on-site kickoff meetings with construction managers and trades • Provide technical support to architects, engineers, and other design professionals • Create supporting documentation and specifications for target certifications • Complete in-field testing when necessary, including envelope leakage testing, duct leakage testing, and pre-drywall inspections • Coordinate with design professionals, contractors, energy modeling, commissioning, and field inspection teams through design and construction phases

🎯 Requirements

• Experience with at least one of the following: International Energy Conservation Code; ENERGY STAR Single Family New Homes; Efficient New Homes (Single Family) • RESNET HERS Rater credential required • Residential energy modeling experience is required • Undergraduate degree and/or graduate degree in a related field preferred • Strong interest in reducing building operating energy and improving the built environment • Excellent organizational and communication skills • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills • Ability to juggle tasks well and willingness to take on many different assignments • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, primarily Word and Excel • General proficiency with other online business technology platforms • Ability to work in an unsupervised environment and manage own tasks efficiently • Located in NJ, NY, CT, or PA
