📋 Description

• Lead and grow River's team of compliance analysts • Serve as River's BSA Officer and own BSA/AML and OFAC programs, including policy, monitoring, investigations, and reporting • Build and maintain compliance policies and procedures across the business • Run a company-wide compliance training program • Own the compliance risk assessment and drive cross-functional remediation prioritization • Develop and run independent compliance testing and monitoring • Maintain state money transmitter licenses, including renewals and exam readiness • Drive the OCC national trust charter process with executive leadership, counsel, and consultants • Own relationships with regulators and bank-partner compliance leadership • Manage regulatory exams, audits, and third-party assessments through remediation • Provide compliance sign-off on new products and features • Build scalable compliance systems and processes • Advise the executive team and Board on regulatory strategy and emerging risk • Partner with Operations, Product, and Engineering to embed compliance • Model River's trust, honesty, and rigor culture

🎯 Requirements

• Deep experience building and running compliance programs at a regulated financial institution, ideally with BSA Officer experience • Track record of managing regulatory exams and audits, and building relationships with regulators and bank partners • Direct experience with OCC processes; charter application experience is a strong plus • Systems-thinking and process-building approach • Strong people leadership and experience building, managing, and developing a team of analysts • Excellent communication skills with examiners, the Board, and engineers • Strategic and proactive approach to regulatory risk • Client-first mindset • Genuine culture-carrier approach • Comfortable with ambiguity and the pace of a fast-growing company • Must be authorized to work in the US
