📋 Description

• Build and lead Motive's security compliance and trust function • Own governance, risk and compliance; audit and certification across ISO 27001/27701, SOC 1, SOC 2, PCI DSS and the path to FedRAMP • Own privacy and data protection, customer trust, security policy, training and human risk, and AI governance • Lead a small, senior, globally distributed team and own organizational design, hiring and global team development • Write policies, design controls, participate in audit fieldwork and answer complex customer questions • Build an integrated control framework mapping ISO 27001/27701, SOC 1, SOC 2, PCI DSS, FedRAMP, GDPR and CCPA/CPRA • Own the annual audit calendar and manage auditor and assessor relationships • Lead Motive's path to FedRAMP • Own privacy compliance operations, including data subject rights, DPIAs, ROPA and cross-border transfer mechanics • Establish regulatory readiness for new markets and partner on data residency and regional architecture • Represent Motive's security and privacy posture to customers, own trust.gomotive.com and lead security questionnaire responses and enterprise escalations • Build evidence automation, continuous control monitoring and AI-assisted questionnaire response • Own the security policy and standards library, exceptions process, security training, phishing simulation and human risk measurement • Establish AI governance across product and internal AI use against ISO/IEC 42001, the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and the EU AI Act • Report to the CISO and partner with Legal, Engineering, Product, IT, Finance, Sales and Customer Success

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in security compliance, GRC, privacy, audit or risk management • 5+ years in leadership roles managing both people managers and senior individual contributors • Demonstrably hands-on experience personally writing policies, designing controls, building control mappings, participating in audit fieldwork and answering customer questions • Proven ownership of multi-framework compliance programs at scale in a cloud-native SaaS environment • Core experience with ISO 27001, SOC 1, SOC 2 and PCI DSS • Deep operational privacy experience across GDPR and CCPA/CPRA • Hands-on ownership of DSAR operations, DPIAs, ROPA and cross-border transfer mechanics • Experience standing up compliance and privacy in new international markets, ideally including Canada, the EU, Mexico or Latin America • Familiarity with PIPEDA/Law 25, LGPD or Mexican LFPDPPP is a strong advantage • Experience with FedRAMP, ideally having led an organization through authorization or Moderate/High readiness • Concrete, demonstrated use of AI to run compliance work • Demonstrated ownership of customer-facing trust functions, including security reviews, questionnaires, trust portals and enterprise escalation • Experience leading globally distributed teams across multiple timezones • Working fluency in AI governance frameworks • Experience supporting IPO readiness, SOX or equivalent regulated-environment scrutiny is strongly preferred • Experience with sensitive personal data at scale is strongly preferred • CIPP/E, CIPP/US or CIPM is a plus • Applicant must be authorized to receive and access commodities and technologies controlled under U.S. Export Administration Regulations • Applicant must be authorized to receive access to Motive products and technology
