• Oversee local volunteer chapters in assigned geographic areas • Organize Big Game banquets, special events, and other grassroots fundraising activities • Recruit, train, and retain volunteers • Oversee the review and recommendation phases of RMEF’s granting program in Utah • Lead, organize, and guide local chapter committees in planning and executing in-person fundraising events • Meet or exceed annual profit-center goals • Work with regional, state, and chapter chairs on operating policies, procedures, financial reporting, and event execution • Plan and execute an annual in-person volunteer workshop with grassroots fundraising training and chapter/volunteer recognition • Chair or co-chair the state granting process, including solicitation, review, and recommendation of projects for RMEF funding • Direct volunteer recruitment and grassroots fundraising training across chapters • Complete and submit required records, reports, and paperwork accurately and on time • Respond to inquiries about RMEF activities and programs within the assigned region • Ensure compliance with state nonprofit and charitable fundraising laws • Launch new chapters and/or in-person fundraising events to increase sustainable net revenue growth
• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Business, Marketing, Fundraising, Communications, or related field • Five years additional professional experience in a business environment • Experience working with volunteers and fundraising preferred • Must be located in Utah • Frequent weekday and weekend travel required • Ability to work any day of the week, including weekends • Ability to work late at night, often until after midnight • Ability to sit for long periods in a car or airplane and stand for intervals of 2–6 hours • Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods • Must be able to lift heavy items up to 50 pounds • Valid state driver’s license and acceptable driving record required • Thorough knowledge and support of RMEF’s mission, goals, organizational structure, and activities • Understanding of hunting’s role in wildlife management and conservation • Excellent people, organizational, communication, and public-speaking skills • Ability to direct and motivate volunteers, work independently, resolve conflicts, adapt to changing priorities, and manage multiple priorities • Proficiency in annual fundraising income projections and operating expense budgets • Proficiency in web-based software platforms and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Ability to travel extensively and work flexible hours
• Regional Directors may qualify for a bonus in addition to their annual salary if they achieve all goals that are set for their profit center and are employed for a full calendar year • Health, Dental, & Vision Insurance, including prescription coverage • Medical Savings Account: Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Medical Spending Account available to eligible employees • Retirement 403 (b) Plan with RMEF matching up to 5% of an employee’s contribution; immediate participation and vesting; pretax and Roth options • Paid Time Off (PTO), accruing immediately at 4.92 hours per payday; accrual rates increase with years of service • Extended Illness Bank (EIB), accruing immediately at 4.92 hours per payday • Up to 17 paid holidays per year, based on President & CEO approval • Employee Assistance Program (EAP): four free counseling sessions per year for employee and family • Employer-paid life insurance • Employer-paid short-term and long-term disability coverage
