📋 Description

• Advance building decarbonization across the United States, with a primary focus in California and the Northeast • Contribute to solutions accelerating the transition to clean, efficient, and all-electric buildings • Lead discrete workstreams within larger initiatives • Manage relationships with external partners • Conduct research and analysis on energy efficiency, demand flexibility, building electrification, and decarbonization strategies • Locate, manage, and analyze data using creative approaches • Present quantitative information in clear visual formats • Develop quantitative models to address research and client questions • Synthesize findings into reports, insight briefs, blogs, presentations, policy briefs, regulatory comments, and other external-facing products • Engage external experts through interviews, conferences, and project collaboration • Coach staff on areas of expertise, such as building energy modeling • Structure and manage work of junior team members • Lead projects or project portions from design through execution • Develop workplans, manage timelines, coordinate contributors, and ensure high-quality deliverables • Support project budgeting, reporting, partner communications, and milestone tracking • Build and maintain relationships with industry representatives and partners • Participate in stakeholder meetings, workshops, working groups, and conferences • Represent RMI in external meetings and public forums • Develop presentations, articles, webinars, and other external communications • Present research findings and recommendations to diverse stakeholder groups • Identify emerging market opportunities, risks, and trends • Support strategic prioritization, grant proposals, donor reports, RFPs, projects, and partnerships

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant professional experience in a field related to the built environment • Strong research, modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including working with large data sets • Ability to translate raw data and complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams • Comfort working with ambiguity • Commitment to advancing equitable and market-based climate solutions • All candidates must have current, independent authorization to work in the U.S. without present or future sponsorship from RMI
