📋 Description

• Conduct specialized and complex analyses of payer issues affecting the URMFG revenue cycle process • Identify trends, investigate issues, and make recommendations to improve revenue • Analyze payer policies, including administrative and clinical edit programs • Create communications for management, departments, and physicians • Represent URMFG with payers and resolve complex revenue and payer issues • Research and resolve prior authorizations, denials management, and payer policy determinations • Interpret reports monitoring negotiated rate variances and recoveries • Facilitate meetings with payers, UBO, senior administrators, and providers • Develop, compile, and communicate payer issue reports to internal and external stakeholders • Track financial recoveries and advise Revenue Cycle Advisors and UBO staff regarding payer reimbursement • Identify and present improvements to increase operational efficiency and revenue • Document projects using Issue Trak • Maintain expert knowledge of commercial and government payer reimbursement, rules, regulations, coding, and contract terms • Consult with the Associate Director on payer and financial developments • Work with Compliance Analysts, Office of Counsel, and Medical Staff Office managers on credentialing and payer provider file issues • Provide input on systems and technology implementation, including EPIC • Mentor, train, and assist Payer Provider Contract Analyst II staff • Handle special reimbursement and finance projects and establish project timelines • Assist in developing payer relations policies and procedures • Report to the Associate Director, Payer Relations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience with medical practice billing/coding/terminology or relevant experience required • Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills strongly preferred • Excellent customer service and communication skills (oral and written) strongly preferred • Ability to work in a team with all levels of management and staff strongly preferred • Experience with Microsoft Office products, with emphasis on Excel strongly preferred • EPIC fluency and Tableau reporting knowledge preferred • Demonstrated understanding of CMS and AMA CPT preferred
