• Collect outstanding balances from commercial insurance and self-pay payers • Continuously improve revenue cycle processes • Manage client business accounts, policy applications, and collection activities • Work an eight-hour shift five days a week and additional hours when necessary; overtime may be required • Manage overall credit and collections activities of client accounts • Maintain the accounts receivable ledger and monitor aged receivables • Maintain current knowledge of benefit plans, contract terms and rates, billing forms, and codes • Check claim status via telephone, websites, and other available means • Document and recommend adjustments to client accounts • Pursue collection activities and follow up on balances outside established norms • Coordinate collection activities with outside agencies, including court appearances as needed • Apply credit policies consistently from admission through final account resolution • Securely handle cardholder data, including encryption, storage limitations, and security protocols • Participate in mandatory PCI training, access controls, and regular PCI DSS-aligned security assessments • Provide feedback and education to departments/internal customers regarding issues affecting revenue flow or capture • Provide documentation and reports to assist in fiscal management • Participate as a member of the Revenue Cycle Team in team meetings and activities • Deliver exceptional customer service to every customer • Comply with Rosecrance’s mission, vision, values, and expectations
• High School diploma or GED • One to two years of experience in healthcare claims processing and collections, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience • Computer proficiency in a Windows environment • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, with an emphasis in Excel • Adequate written skills to accurately complete required documentation within prescribed time frames • Excellent organizational skills • Eligible candidates must live in WI, IL, or IA • Must pass an occupational health screening • Must comply with Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct • Must work in a zero-tolerance drug-free environment, including marijuana
