📋 Description

• Understand business and technical requirements and develop design specifications for operating, network, and infrastructure systems • Evaluate, recommend, plan, and design infrastructure, hardware, software, and middleware solutions for seamless integration • Interface with vendors to resolve hardware and software problems • Configure, maintain, and deploy LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, load balancers, and related hardware • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve network problems • Research and recommend software or hardware changes to correct network deficiencies and improve performance • Support network connectivity and related issues for internal and external customers • Serve as a technical resource for resolving complex network problems • Participate in client projects to improve and upgrade network infrastructures • Interface with technical and business staff and external customers • Analyze network activity and problems to discover and prevent systematic errors • Recommend network design changes and enhancements for system availability and performance • Assess network performance and bandwidth requirements • Provide network planning recommendations to management • Document procedures and maintain current network diagrams and related materials • Work with data center and IT teams to determine space, power, and connectivity needs • Participate in on-call Tier 3 production support activities • Define standard engineering designs, templates, processes, and procedures for projects • Lead evaluation and selection of tools with management direction • Set up product demonstrations and objectively evaluate tools • Deploy tools within the group when required • Mentor junior engineers and develop “how to” guides • Coordinate activities with vendors • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related discipline with 5–7 years of relevant work experience, OR a comparable number of years of applicable work experience • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask • Ability to analyze complex problems and identify critical elements, variables, and alternatives • Ability to organize and prioritize resources and incorporate new information • Excellent communication skills • 5+ years’ experience in routing, core switching, wireless, firewalls, VLAN, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, monitoring tools, network topologies, and Cisco network components • Proficiency in EIGRP, BGP, HSRP, and VPN protocols • 2+ years’ experience with NetScaler or similar load-balancing technologies • 3+ years’ experience with Palo Alto • Strong understanding of WAN technologies including MPLS, DS3, Ethernet, and broadband • Strong understanding of advanced network principles and Internet architecture • Excellent customer relations skills • Fluency in Network Technology principles, including network strategies, carrier offerings design, VPN solutions, and Cisco platforms • Knowledge of networking, security, and load balancing • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) • Must complete pre-employment background and drug screening • May be required to work nights, weekends, holidays, and participate in on-call Tier 3 production support
