📋 Description

• Remain available throughout agreed hours of coverage for contact by the RMI Global Coordination Centre (GCC) • Deploy to predefined medical facilities to meet and greet RMI patients within one hour of notification from the GCC, or within other agreed timeframes • Work with the GCC to ensure payment methods are agreed with receiving medical facilities • Mediate between medical facilities and the GCC where applicable • Ensure swift access to care and resolve problems pragmatically and professionally • Provide verbal and written translation from the local dialect to English and relay it to the GCC • Deploy to medical facilities daily during protracted inpatient stays • Manage patient welfare throughout admission, ensuring comfort, treatment understanding, and reasonable support requests • Establish relationships with treating physicians and obtain current information from the medical team • Provide timely written and verbal updates to the GCC on patient status and proposed plans • Liaise professionally with client management as required • Use local knowledge to arrange other services as required

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a medical healthcare professional in area of operation • Bilingual — local language and dialect (as per area of operation), and English • Experience providing patient advocacy in remote/international areas preferred • Foreign travel experience • Excellent communication skills and professionalism • Demonstrated self-discipline • Ability to integrate into a cross-cultural social structure • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general computer and technology literacy preferred • Valid driver’s license for area of operation preferred
