• Create and own solution and portfolio architectures and associated artifacts through all phases of the TOGAF Architecture Development Method using Cameo and ArchiMate • Participate in SAFe Agile Release Train teams in the Architect role • Provide technical leadership and guidance to agile development teams to realize intended architecture and follow standards • Lead technical and design discussions with business teams and executive stakeholders • Help manage backlog, risks, opportunities, and focus areas • Mentor technical staff toward solution architect roles • Develop consistent architecture patterns and practices across multiple teams • Support application portfolio optimization and modernization through process and system transformations • Partner with infrastructure, networking, and cloud teams on scalability, reliability, and security • Guide application deployments and system migrations with functional, program, corporate service, and outsourced provider teams • Advocate for architecture and build influence relationships across Raytheon • Lead continuous improvement activities to promote productivity and reduce delivery friction • Contribute to Digital Technology’s architecture practice with enterprise architects • Create reusable building blocks and reference architectures
• University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience • Experience leading and implementing technology transformation initiatives • Experience architecting, designing, integrating, and deploying enterprise-grade applications • Experience deploying and hosting applications with AWS or Microsoft Azure • U.S. citizenship required • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance • Active and existing DoD Secret clearance required after day 1 • Experience working as an Architect within agile frameworks, methodologies, and tools such as Scrum, SAFe, or Toyota Production System • Executive presence and strong oral and written communication • Time and resource management, planning, and project execution skills • Critical thinking and independent judgment in complex and ambiguous situations • Experience with virtual and geographically diverse teams • Ability to abstract and simplify complex systems and ideas • Formal architecture certifications or degrees preferred, such as Zachman, TOGAF, RTX Certified Architect, or Cloud Architect certifications • Technical expertise across applications, data analytics, cloud, infrastructure, and cybersecurity • Experience deploying and integrating large-scale software solutions in regulated and secure environments through all lifecycle phases • Experience with infrastructure as code and deployment automations
