📋 Description

• Manage the distributed products commodity for assigned business units • Act as point of escalation for supplier or internal issues • Manage the assigned Supply Chain team • Lead supplier contract and pricing negotiations • Bring contracts and sourcing projects through the gated Passport standard work • Drive cost reduction projects using spend data, market conditions, program development, should-cost estimation, and volume aggregation • Identify savings opportunities and lead projects with cross-functional support • Lead supplier discussions and negotiations involving cost savings, performance improvements, and Long Term Agreements • Create annual Strategic Sourcing Review Board strategy and socialize it with peers and senior management • Analyze existing contracts, identify gaps, and strengthen terms with Contract Managers • Sweep spot buys onto long-term agreements • Optimize market share for dual-source products • Act as Strategic Business Unit focal point for KPI reviews • Identify and deliver savings through negotiations, transitions, and value engineering projects • Ensure accurate reporting of savings and price increases • Coordinate sourcing decisions on new programs with Supply Chain Directors, Design Engineers, Program Directors, and Product Introduction Management • Monitor supplier market conditions and technology roadmaps, and identify supply/demand challenges • Support strategic commodity plan development and implementation • Develop strategic supplier partnerships and lead supply-base efficiency projects • Report directly to the Associate Director Commodity Management for Distributed Products • Travel approximately 20%

🎯 Requirements

• University degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience • 7+ years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Contracts Management, Business Development, or another business-related field • U.S. citizenship required; only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract • Ability to travel approximately 20% • Aerospace product knowledge, including processes, manufacturing techniques, and quality requirements, preferred • Prior team leadership experience or experience working in a highly matrixed organization preferred • Supply Chain systems experience with SAP preferred • Analytical experience preferred • Proficiency and experience with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and databases preferred • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills • Project management preferred • Ability to work in a team environment
