📋 Description

• Support Ryder's Continuous Improvement culture across operations • Identify and drive operational change through data-driven continuous improvement, engineering, and automation efforts • Deliver improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee development • Collect data, perform statistical analysis, and map and document processes • Identify process gaps and recommend and implement process improvements • Develop and manage continuous improvement plans, including transformation plan development and execution • Manage and complete continuous improvement and steady-state engineering projects • Assess CI initiatives and provide recommendations for future activities • Support go-live and steady-state certifications • Identify and support automation projects • Interact regularly with operations management and customers • Develop competency in engineering methods, Lean tools, and quality standards • Coach employees and process owners in continuous improvement and Lean principles • Apply engineering methods including product slotting, labor standards/time studies, flow optimization, data profiling and analysis, and resource modeling • Facilitate and execute Value Stream Maps and Kaizen Events through chartering, pre-work, delivery, follow-up, and sustainment • Provide regular reports measuring progress against site objectives • Make supply chain strategy recommendations • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field, Required • 5 years or more in related work experience in the Transportation or Supply Chain Industry, Required • Transportation Experience Necessary (Transportation Management, Dedicated, FTL, LTL), Required • Microsoft Office Suite skills with emphasis on Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio; Expert, Required • Data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) and database programming (SQL, DAX, etc.); Intermediate, Preferred • Functional Experience in developing and managing Leader Standard Work, Visual Management Systems and Management Accountability Systems, PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and 5S/Workplace Organization; Beginner, Required • Understanding and experience in core engineering and data analysis functions including slotting, utilization, labor planning, layouts, and metrics; Intermediate, Required • Knowledge of Dedicated Services and Managed Transportation Networks; knowledge of equipment types including dry van, temperature control, flat bed, and specialized equipment; Intermediate, Preferred • Transportation design tools such as JDA and Appian; network design tools such as Llamasoft/Optilogic; transportation management systems such as JDA and OTM; mapping software such as Tableau/Power BI; Intermediate, Preferred • Lean Methodology, Preferred • Supply Chain Logistics Certification, Preferred • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships across the organization • Flexibility and self-direction in a fast-paced environment • Multitasking, organization, and time management skills • System and change implementation skills • Ability to work independently and as a leader or team member • Ability to manage cross-functional CI projects from beginning through sustained results
