📋 Description

• Support the growth of Ryder’s Supply Chain Solutions and Dedicated Transportation Solution offerings by developing, designing, and winning new business • Design solutions that deliver financial value and align with customer needs and Ryder’s operational and technical capabilities • Develop process flows, concepts of operations, value propositions, and concepts of systems with IT • Calculate labor, equipment, facility, and expense requirements for transportation and warehousing designs • Coordinate with Pricing and other functions to develop cost and pricing models and assumptions • Validate, cleanse, profile, and baseline data; define scenarios and develop optimization strategies • Review RFP documents, clarify gaps, develop solution hypotheses, and support bid submissions • Meet with customers and cross-functional bid response teams • Support technical review presentations and design validation meetings • Follow up on implementations by validating and modifying deployed processes to match the plan • Develop and improve engineering tools and methodologies • Support consulting projects by understanding customer pain points and developing and presenting solutions • Transition design and proposal assumptions to Operations and SCE CI resources during customer due diligence and startup • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering • Four (4) years or more related work experience in the Transportation industry required • Four (4) years or more related work experience in the Warehousing and/or Manufacturing industry required • Expert Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially Access, Excel, and PowerPoint • Advanced knowledge of effective metrics programs and sustainable, measurable network design • Extensive knowledge of Dedicated Services and Managed Transportation Networks • Knowledge of transportation equipment types including dry van, temperature control, flat bed, and specialized equipment • Expert knowledge of transportation design tools including JDA, Appian, Llamasoft, OTM, and Tableau • Extensive knowledge of warehouse management operations, data analytics, industrial engineering, warehouse types, warehouse layout/design, and Lean methods • Knowledge of material handling and automation solutions including PIT applications, racking, storage solutions, packaging equipment, conveyor and sortation equipment, and AS/RS • Knowledge of warehouse design tools including AutoCAD, Slot3D, MOST, simulation software, Manhattan Scale, and labor management systems • Superb data organization and cleansing skills • Advanced skills in design applications, tools, techniques, and methodologies for complex transportation and warehousing networks • Ability to influence project teams using facts, statistics, and analytics • Ability to comprehend complex supply chain and transportation solutions and break design processes into manageable elements • Good verbal, written, and presentation skills • Travel 10–20%
