📋 Description

• Qualify new investment opportunities from first call to non-binding offer • Develop investment cases and defend recommendations before the Investment Committee • Underwrite deals and assess value, risk and returns • Set deal pricing and structure • Lead transactions from first call and non-binding offer through LOI, diligence, SPA and closing • Lead commercial due diligence, including market sizing, competitive mapping, right-to-win analysis and quality-of-revenue assessment • Build ARR bridges, cohort and retention analyses, unit economics, scenarios, valuations and returns models • Negotiate price, structure and key terms with founders and advisors • Lead internal and external financial, tax, legal, technology, product, marketing and people diligence • Represent saas.group to sellers, brokers and advisors • Collaborate with the C-suite, leadership and post-closing operators • Coach and develop junior team members as a hands-on player-coach

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience after university, with a strong track record in transactions, strategy or both • Training at a top-tier private equity, strategy consulting, Big Four strategy/deals, corporate development/in-house M&A, or investment banking firm/team • Experience with lower mid-market transactions, ideally in software or tech-enabled services, or relevant strategy/deals/M&A experience • Live deal experience, ideally leading workstreams or serving as day-to-day deal lead • Excellent financial modelling and valuation skills • Experience developing junior talent • Commercial due diligence experience, including market sizing, competitive analysis, customer and expert interviews, and quality-of-revenue work • Negotiation and stakeholder management skills with founders, C-suite executives and advisors • Rigorous project management skills • Genuine interest in software and SaaS business models; software background is advantageous but not required • Fluent English, written and spoken • Additional European languages are a plus • Day-to-day use of AI tools, especially Claude, for research, analysis, modelling and diligence workflows
