📋 Description

• Oversee and direct all phases of high-voltage substation and transmission projects, including renewable energy and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects • Manage the project life cycle from initial concept to final delivery, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget • Develop, manage, and control project budgets while adhering to contract terms • Work with the finance team to ensure accurate project cost forecasting • Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams • Provide regular project updates and prepare detailed reports on project status, risks, and opportunities • Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate issues where appropriate • Ensure compliance with regulations, quality standards, and safety requirements • Provide strategic input on project planning and delivery • Contribute to high-level decisions affecting project outcomes and long-term client relationships • Develop best practices, tools, and methodologies to improve project management processes • Perform other job-related duties as requested by management

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of relevant project management experience, including significant experience with high-voltage substation and/or transmission line projects within an EPC environment • Hands-on experience with grid integration, energy storage technologies, and energy management systems is preferred • Bachelors degree in Finance, Project Management, or Construction Management is required; equivalent years of experience may substitute formal education • Masters in Business Administration is preferred • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is preferred • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred • Strong leadership and team management skills • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects • In-depth knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems, substations, and transmission lines • Understanding of renewable energy technologies, energy storage systems (e.g., lithium-ion batteries, flow batteries), and their integration into the grid • Advanced project management skills including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and contract administration • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and MS Office Suite • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of dealing with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams at all levels • Ability to think strategically and make decisions that align with organizational goals • Must live in Austin/Bastrop • Occasional travel to project sites may be required
