📋 Description

• Ensure accurate and timely regular, off-cycle, and annual payroll processing • Calculate and process complex payroll transactions, including FLSA calculations, incentive taxation, retroactive adjustments, reconciliations, mass-volume data loads, and bargaining payouts • Research, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex payroll issues • Provide technical payroll processing, calculation, and consulting expertise • Communicate research and analysis results to senior leaders, associates, external agencies, and vendors • Build reports, analyze complex datasets, and provide insights for business decisions and payroll efficiency • Audit data and identify issues affecting payroll • Participate in periodic internal audits • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues • Support system implementations, testing, and process improvements • Lead payroll-related projects independently from end to end • Drive process improvement initiatives and documentation efforts • Act as payroll subject matter expert and provide guidance and training • Create and communicate standard operating procedures and validate policies against federal and state laws • Maintain accurate payroll, employee, and timekeeping records • Review daily error reports and timekeeping audit reports and correct erroneous records or entries • Communicate changes to upstream and downstream system business owners • Ensure proper tax and location assignment in payroll and timekeeping systems • Apply knowledge of ERISA, ACA, IRS, DOL, FLSA, compensation, and fringe benefit programs • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience • 1–3 years of payroll experience in a multi-state, high-volume environment • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot tables and VLOOKUPs • In-depth understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and accounting principles • Proficiency in payroll software and systems, including advanced features • Attention to detail for accurate payroll calculations • Effective communication skills for liaising with departments and handling employee inquiries • Ability to analyze complex payroll issues and develop solutions • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive payroll information • Preferred: prior wage and hour experience • Preferred: prior experience with ADP, UKG, Workday, and/or Oracle Fusion • Preferred: CPP or FPC certification
