📋 Description

• Procure goods and administer low-dollar, low-risk, low-complexity purchase orders • Report to the Procurement Manager • Source, negotiate, and purchase IT hardware and software, fabricated parts, machinery, equipment, tools, raw materials, packaging materials, parts, services, supplies, and incidental services • Prepare RFQ/Ps and bid packages in accordance with prime contract requirements • Issue and maintain purchase orders supporting SAIC customers, including DOD, Federal, and Civilian Agencies • Compile and analyze statistical data to assess buying feasibility and establish price objectives • Monitor supplier performance • Track price trends and manufacturing processes • Evaluate opportunities to leverage material acquisitions • Negotiate with suppliers and analyze supplier operations to determine favorable pricing and lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and schedules • Review proposals and negotiate purchase-order and contract terms • Select or recommend suppliers and follow up on orders • Verify deliveries, approve payments, and maintain required records • Review license agreements and work with requesters, legal, cybersecurity, and privacy teams to mitigate risk • Close out procurement activities and manage supplier/customer relationships • Recommend procurement process and procedure improvements • Solve routine problems within established policies and procedures • Assume other responsibilities in support of departmental goals and objectives

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree, or an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree • US Citizenship Required • Experience with procurement and material ordering processes • Excellent time management skills • Solid communications skills, both written and oral • Ability to communicate across several levels of staff and customers/vendors • Strong team player • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel and Outlook • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Exhibit critical thinking and analytical skills • Desired: Experience in Supply Chain Management, Business, or technical field • Desired: Advanced Excel skills • Desired: Advanced Word skills
