📋 Description

• Serve as the subject matter expert on clients’ financial operations • Manage Associates and lead accounting and financial operations for assigned clients • Communicate effectively with clients and ensure accurate, timely financial data and platform management • Supervise Associates and oversee bookkeeping, including bill payments, journal entries, account reconciliations, expense documentation, and payroll processing • Collaborate with client managers to develop and maintain budgets • Provide cash-flow forecasting guidance • Gather information and compile monthly and ad hoc reports and financial statements • Analyze and interpret financial data and trends to provide insights • Lead audit and tax filing preparation and execution • Ensure regulatory compliance and financial transparency • Establish shared expectations with clients through thoughtful, transparent communication • Set expectations, delegate tasks, and mentor 1–3 Associate-level team members • Uphold organizational values and foster a values-driven workplace • Lead special projects and perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• 7–10 years of accounting experience • Experience managing full-cycle accounting processes • Strong understanding of GAAP • Strong experience with QuickBooks Online • Supervisory experience and capacity to lead empathetically • Experience working in and project managing for a remote team environment • Demonstrated quality customer/client engagement • Ability to project manage several simultaneous clients with fluctuating work demands • Cross-functional fluency and stakeholder-focused execution • Ability to support, manage, and supervise 1–3 Associate-level team members • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a broader perspective • Comfort working in an evolving team and willingness to embrace change and take initiative • Desire to support progressive organizations and their missions • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future • Master’s degree in accounting preferred • Non-profit accounting experience preferred, including 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), and political entities • QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Certification preferred • Extensive Microsoft Excel experience preferred • Working proficiency with Google Suite/Workspace, Asana, Keeper/Double, and Slack preferred
