📋 Description

• Establish and maintain smooth operation of computer systems, including operating systems, software, and hardware • Maintain system integrity and upgrade systems and servers as required • Create and document methods supporting network/system operations • Consult with support teams, help desks, customers, and technical staff to resolve problems • Coordinate and perform network/server operations and maintenance • Identify recurring problems and recommend steps to reduce their severity or frequency • Plan transitions of development and production environments to new technologies • Monitor system-file performance and manage system data to maintain efficiency • Study system requirements to determine server installation methods and procedures • Administer computer networks and related computing environments • Implement network/system security measures to protect data, software, and hardware • Monitor and analyze short- and long-range planning for in-house systems • Prepare or ensure appropriate operational documentation exists • Write or modify basic scripts to resolve performance problems and automate administration tasks • Recommend changes to systems and network configurations • Determine hardware and software requirements for system changes

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's with 12+ years (or commensurate experience) • 10 years of IT/systems administrator experience • Must have an active HUD Public Trust • Experience administering computer networks and related computing environments • Experience with computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and configurations • Ability to plan, coordinate, and implement network/system security measures • Ability to monitor and analyze in-house systems • Ability to prepare and maintain operational documentation • Ability to write or modify basic scripts • Ability to recommend improvements to systems and network configurations • Ability to determine hardware or software requirements
