📋 Description

• Own the monetization platform carrying products from beta to general availability, including packaging, entitlements, metering, rating, and provisioning • Own time to market and margin, set targets, instrument both, and improve them launch over launch • Define pricing for consumption and outcomes, including agent usage, MCP and API access, and outcome-based products • Make unit economics visible at pricing decisions so teams understand cost to serve • Build reusable monetization primitives so product teams can ship commercial changes without recreating metering or entitlement logic • Partner with Finance, Sales Operations, and Revenue Systems to keep the platform billable, reportable, and auditable • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara's cultural principles as the company scales globally

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience shipping products used by external customers • Record of owning a business or product metric and changing its trajectory • Experience building platform or infrastructure products used by product and engineering teams, including at least one taken from zero to one • Technical depth sufficient for engineers to treat you as a peer: a degree in Computer Science or Engineering, prior engineering experience, or demonstrated fluency in system architecture trade-offs • Comfort with unit economics, cost to serve, gross margin, and pricing models • Executive-level communication and presence, including presenting and defending strategy to the CEO, CFO, and customers • Based in a North American time zone • Must be able to work North American Eastern Time • Experience with usage-based or consumption pricing is an advantage • Prior work on entitlement, metering, or billing infrastructure is an advantage • Experience launching AI products where inference cost materially affects gross margin is an advantage • Track record of convincing other product teams to adopt a platform instead of building their own is an advantage
