📋 Description

• Develop infrastructure, tooling, and pipelines supporting the Medical Device product from embedded Linux field fleets to the cloud • Own build, signing, rollout, rollback, per-device configuration, update mechanisms, recovery mechanisms, and operational tooling for the Linux kiosk fleet • Own CI/CD, test-gated promotion, controlled approvals, and release traceability across cloud and device software • Define a deployment control plane for reversible and auditable releases • Own observability, alerting, reliability, backup and recovery, auditability, and security controls • Operate the AWS and Terraform foundation supporting product and engineering teams • Establish golden paths and self-service deployment tools • Advise engineers on complex build and deployment issues • Design, build, test, and maintain production-quality tooling and services • Automate regulatory requirements including traceability, SBOM, artifact signing, audit trails, pipeline security, and device security • Translate Product, Clinical, Regulatory, and InfoSec needs into platform work • Support clinical studies and regulatory submissions such as 510(k) and De Novo • Support data-science platform needs including reproducible environments, scalable compute, and reliable model serving

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in platform, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering in AWS • Staff-level ownership of production CI/CD and release systems for complex distributed systems handling sensitive data • Strong general software-engineering ability in Python or Go • Experience operating Linux-based systems and fleets of networked/IoT devices • Experience with OTA update strategies • Ownership of CI/CD and release/promotion systems with test gating, approvals, and reversible deployments • Deep expertise in Terraform/Terragrunt • Experience with Docker and ECS/Fargate and/or Kubernetes • Experience building observability with Datadog/CloudWatch • Experience operating production systems for monitoring and alerting • Regulated, safety-critical, high-assurance, medical-device, or sensitive-data experience strongly preferred • Experience with Mender or comparable embedded-Linux update systems, signed images, and A/B update strategies preferred • Experience delivering Software as a Medical Device through its full lifecycle and familiarity with FDA 510(k)/De Novo pathways desired • Experience designing HIPAA/GDPR-compliant systems, audit logging, secure data transmission, PKI, device authentication, and threat modeling • Data engineering or infrastructure support for data-science and ML teams, including data versioning and production model serving • Secure overlay networks such as Tailscale/WireGuard and multi-account/multi-region network design • Experience with GCP or Azure alongside AWS • Familiarity with diagnostic or imaging devices with hardware in the loop or physiological monitoring platforms such as ECG • Legally authorized to work in the country where the job is located • Candidates cannot participate in foreign talent programs sponsored by China, Russia, Iran, or North Korea
