• Analyze power projects and distill technical concepts and information into actionable conclusions and recommendations • Support stakeholders developing, designing, constructing, operating, and financing energy projects in the United States and overseas • Advise power project developers on utility-scale solar, wind, battery energy storage, thermal, and other projects • Independently evaluate new power and infrastructure projects to support financing • Model economic, technical, and market scenarios for grid operators, utilities, and research agencies • Develop planning studies and business cases for utilities, power producers, and government agencies • Work with multi-discipline project teams • Lead others in applying data, automation, and AI to improve workflows, reduce rework, and deliver cost-effective designs • Direct automation and process-improvement work, including automating calculations, summarizing technical documents, and generating design documentation • Guide when and how AI or agentic AI tools are used while ensuring results are checked • Oversee engineers programming or scripting to automate engineering tasks and review automated outputs
• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical and/or civil/structural engineering required • At least 3 years of relevant experience required • Other engineering degree may be considered • Experience working on power or transmission projects is considered but not required • Technical report writing • Multi-discipline teamwork experience • Data analysis and visualization • Project finance or business acumen • Conceptual project design • Construction project management and/or scheduling software knowledge • Excellent verbal/written communication skills • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work with and guide others • Project planning, leadership, and organizational skills • Decision making and judgement • Willingness or ability to lead others using modern tools, automation, and AI • U.S. work authorization; the employer does not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. • Oversight of automation using Python, MATLAB, or advanced Excel is valued but not required • Additional learning in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related fields is valued
