📋 Description

• Support project development and strategic planning, including market, technology, and policy assessments • Lead and contribute to project economic and cost analyses, risk assessments, and contracting strategies • Support or manage technical due diligence and owner’s engineering reviews for power and energy projects • Provide client program and project management support, improving governance, business processes, controls, and stakeholder alignment • Develop conceptual plans with Sargent & Lundy technical teams • Prepare and present project implementation strategies and plans to client executives and project teams • Translate complex technical findings into client-ready presentations and written reports • Lead discrete workstreams within larger client engagements • Coordinate day-to-day activities of junior team members and review their work products • Contribute to business development, proposal preparation, and client relationship building

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, finance, business, public policy, or a related field • 10+ years of experience in the energy/power industry, including at least three years in consulting or advisory roles • Prior management consulting or advisory experience with direct client interaction and responsibility for analytical work products • Experience working with electric or gas utilities, independent power producers, project developers, grid operators, or energy investors • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including quantitative models, large data sets, and financial or economic analysis • Ability to produce clear, well-structured Excel models, PowerPoint decks, and written reports • Ability to communicate complex topics to non-technical audiences • Experience participating in client meetings, workshops, or presentations and engaging directly with client stakeholders • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, project-based consulting environment • High initiative, ownership, and accountability, with a record of delivering quality work products with limited supervision • Must not require U.S. work authorization sponsorship • Valued but not required: technical due diligence and owner’s engineering design reviews of power projects • Valued but not required: understanding of power station operations and performance • Valued but not required: understanding of electric utility business models, planning processes, and operations • Valued but not required: economic evaluation, cost analysis, and contract development experience
