📋 Description

• Collaborate with structural engineers and interface with engineers from other disciplines • Guide the work of less experienced project team members • Work on engineering projects for new nuclear facilities and upgrades and modifications to nuclear power plants • Apply knowledge of materials, structural analysis, structural steel design, and reinforced concrete design • Prepare and review design calculations • Develop specifications • Support designers with drawing development • Guide others in developing engineering deliverables • Perform structural analysis of safety-related structures under seismic, impactive, and impulsive loading conditions using computer tools • Potentially travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews • Potentially travel to plant sites for construction coordination and field verification of designs

🎯 Requirements

• MS degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program • Seven or more years of experience working as a member of a project team in the design and analysis of structures • Proficiency with structural analysis software such as SAP2000, STRUDL, SASSI, ANSYS, or LS-DYNA • Proficiency with analysis and design codes and standards such as ASCE 4, ASCE 43, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI • Good written and verbal communication skills • U.S. work authorization; the employer does not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S.
