📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and support the medical/scientific writing team • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate complex science into compelling narratives for multiple stakeholders • Review scientific content across project types to ensure excellence in client deliverables • Provide strategic guidance and scientific direction on publications, congress presentations, and medical education content • Mentor and guide clients and internal teams on adherence to GPP 2022 and ICMJE guidelines while maintaining flexibility to adopt client SOPs • Lead development and execution of comprehensive publication plans for select clients • Develop and deliver scientific content for advisory boards, symposia, and internal training initiatives • Provide strategic guidance on medical platforms, scientific lexicons, and core messaging documents • Collaborate with client and account services teams to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery • Support scientific strategy and client counsel across US-based accounts

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent) in life sciences required • Minimum 7 years’ experience in a medical communications or agency setting • Proven track record in both publications and medical affairs deliverables • Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills • Demonstrated experience leading medical teams at a medical communications agency • Experience working in both scientific publications and medical affairs-led activities • Based in the Eastern Time Zone (EST) • Rare disease experience preferred • Some travel to client meetings, internal meetings, and/or congresses expected
