• Perform medical record documentation and clerical duties to improve provider effectiveness, efficiency, productivity, patient flow, and satisfaction • Prepare and assemble medical record documentation and charts for healthcare providers • Virtually enter patient rooms with physicians during visits to capture and transcribe medical record documentation using electronic medical record applications • Update all components of patient medical records at the physician’s direction, including subjective and objective information, physical exams, and other pertinent clinical information • Prepare and send documentation to physicians for review and approval through detailed data entry and facility-specific procedures • Collaborate with healthcare staff to monitor basic lab results and screening procedures • Monitor lab test duration and follow up as necessary • Ensure accurate documentation in patient records • Support compliance with hospital and ProScribe policies • Understand and maintain HIPAA regulations and Joint Commission standards • Follow applicable assigned-site and ProScribe policies • Demonstrate professionalism through adherence to attendance policies • Perform other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned
• 3–6 months of previous Medical Scribe experience • High school diploma or equivalent required • Must be 18+ years old • Authorized to work in the US • Successful completion of a background check and drug screen • Ability to obtain proof of vaccinations as required by specific site • Typing speed of 45+ WPM • Ability to fluently read, write, and understand English • Part-time availability: two shifts per week (16–24 hours per week) for a minimum of 6 consecutive months • Full-time availability: three shifts per week (32+ hours per week) for a minimum of 12 consecutive months • Ability to work shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours • Ability to understand HIPAA regulations and appropriately maintain confidential patient and client information • Personal computer manufactured within the last 4 years • High-speed internet with minimum bandwidth of 20 Mbps download / 8 Mbps upload • Residency in a state approved for virtual work with ProScribe • Ability to sit for extended periods • Ability to view computer monitors with close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus with good hand-eye coordination • Ability to operate a computer and/or laptop through proficient typing, clicking, and viewing a monitor for extended periods • Ability to professionally function and communicate in an emotionally-charged, stressful, and diverse environment • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with potentially limited rest or break opportunities
