📋 Description

• researching and collecting information for FAA Voluntary Disclosure Reporting Program (VDRP), Letters of Investigation (LOI), and other FAA or company issues • Daily communication with all levels of the FAA and company management • coordinate multidivisional corrective actions and follow-up to ensure completion • Manage FAA Voluntary Disclosure Programs by identifying, documenting, and reporting regulatory non-compliance issues through the Federal Aviation Administration's web-based Voluntary Disclosure self-reporting system while maintaining accurate records • Lead comprehensive investigations of regulatory compliance matters and ensure timely, accurate responses to all regulatory inquiries and audit requirements • Serve as an internal consultant and regulatory expert on FAA compliance protocols, quality assurance standards, and aviation safety requirements across United's engineering, maintenance programs • Communicate proposed comprehensive fixes and compliance solutions directly to FAA representatives • Monitor, track, and ensure timely implementation of all corrective actions identified through FAA findings, investigation findings, and mitigation processes • Maintain ongoing communication and liaison with the FAA Certificate Management Office (CMO) regarding the status, progress, and resolution of Voluntary Disclosure Reports (VDRs)

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in technical, safety or aviation-related field or related experience • 5+ years related experience • Basic understanding of aircraft systems and Federal Aviation Regulations • Equivalent aircraft maintenance/inspection and quality assurance experience • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills • Proven understanding of pertinent Code of Federal Regulations and Company Manuals / Requirements • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn Company/Department IT platforms • In-depth experience interacting with the FAA • 5 - 7 years of significant achievements in aircraft maintenance, inspection, engineering, and/or quality assurance, with proven leadership capabilities • Travel up to 20% • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
