📋 Description

• Inspect, identify, and evaluate auto vehicles involved in a loss • Appraise and determine repair costs for damaged vehicles in the field • Determine repair versus replace and parts utilization • Evaluate whether vehicles are repairable or salvageable using industry-standard estimatics software • Travel to inspection locations to appraise vehicles in the field • Prepare estimates using estimatics software • Work directly with auto repair facilities to process supplemental repairs and provide supplemental estimates • Perform other duties as assigned • Travel as required • Potentially deploy in support of catastrophe operations, particularly during peak summer months • During non-CAT periods, manage daily appraisal volume within the assigned home territory • Manage workloads with time management, autonomy, and adherence to productivity and quality standards

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required • Licenses as required by state guidelines • Two (2) years of related experience, including at least one (1) year of appraisal experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required • Strong knowledge of automobiles • Ability to understand and utilize appraisal software • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products • Strong organizational skills • Excellent interpersonal skills • Excellent negotiating skills • Ability to work in a team environment • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies • Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time • Must be able to kneel, squat, bend, climb, crawl, stoop, reach/work overhead • Must be able to work outdoors in hot and/or cold weather conditions • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds • Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds • Ability to drive up to 4 hours per day • Continual use of manual dexterity • Ability to handle work-related stress and multiple priorities • Ability to meet deadlines
