📋 Description

• Handle large losses or claims regionally exceeding $10M • Address complex adjustment issues pertaining to damages and coverage • Assist on even larger losses and manage smaller and non-complex National Accounts • Examine claim forms and records to determine insurance coverage • Administer and reconcile complex catastrophic property claims • Interview, telephone, or correspond with claimants and witnesses • Consult police and hospital records • Inspect property damage to determine the extent of company liability • Estimate repair, replacement, or compensation costs • Prepare findings reports and negotiate settlements with claimants • Recommend litigation by the legal department when settlements cannot be negotiated • Attend litigation hearings • Revise case reserves to cover probable costs • Prepare loss experience reports to help determine profitability and calculate adequate future rates • Interact with excess carriers to determine coverages, excess insurance levels, and potential reimbursements

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred • Must have earned the IIA-AIC designation • Appropriate state adjuster license is required • Eight (8) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required • Expertise in large-loss property claims • Strong investigative and negotiation skills • Ability to manage multimillion-dollar exposures from initial investigation through final resolution • Availability during Pacific Time Zone business hours • Clear and conceptual thinking ability • Excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem solving, analysis, and discretion • Ability to handle work-related stress and multiple priorities simultaneously • Ability to meet deadlines • Computer keyboarding • Travel as required • Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of a job-related motor vehicle record check
