📋 Description

• Develop conceptual designs for transportation and multi-modal projects • Prepare environmental documentation, including State Environmental Assessment Worksheets and Federal Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Assessments, and Environmental Impact Statements • Conduct transportation planning and corridor studies • Prepare draft and final corridor studies, access control plans, project reports, and technical memoranda • Assist in marketing transportation and municipal planning consulting projects • Interact with clients on behalf of SEH through project meetings, public meetings, and workshops • Work on innovative multi-modal transportation planning and design projects for clients in Colorado, Arizona, and beyond • Report into the Transportation Practice Center in SEH’s West Region

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Planning or Civil Engineering with an emphasis in transportation or related field • Minimum of two (2) years of consulting and/or public sector experience in transportation planning • Understanding of Federal and State of Colorado local agency project requirements • Experience working with cities and counties throughout the State of Colorado • Previous experience conducting studies and analyses • Previous experience with the design and implementation of public involvement efforts • Excellent verbal and written communication / presentation skills • Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc.; occasional overnight travel may be required • Certified Planner (AICP) or Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado, or the ability to obtain registration within one year of employment (preferred) • Preferred: ten plus (10+) years of experience in general planning; bike trails, roads, etc. • Preferred: previous experience with multi-modal studies and analysis including bicycle and pedestrian plans • Preferred: knowledge of the regional transportation planning/funding process and Federal/regional/local agency roles and interrelationships • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future
