📋 Description

• Produce a regular cadence of scoops and definitive analytical pieces • Build and maintain high-level sources across AI labs, major technology companies, venture and growth capital, and the political ecosystem around tech policy • Write agenda-setting stories connecting company and policy decisions with capital accumulation, geopolitical competition, and technological transformation • Collaborate with journalists across business, finance, politics, and international coverage on cross-beat stories • Contribute to live journalism, including news-breaking and on-record panels with senior business and political figures • Cover the business of technology with a focus on AI, money, power, and politics • Track major technology companies, their business models, capital accumulation, and political influence • Report on how AI is restructuring industries and reordering markets, and how governments in Washington, Brussels, and Beijing are responding • Contribute to newsletters, shows, live journalism, and cross-platform newsroom collaborations

🎯 Requirements

• Five or more years of relevant experience in tech or business journalism • Demonstrated track record of sourcing deeply inside companies and venture capital • Proven ability to blend insider knowledge with authoritative “what-it-means” analysis • Developed voice and sharp takes on major technology stories • Experience in fast-moving, ambitious newsroom environments • Willingness to jump in wherever the team needs you • Passion for news and strong interest in the intersection of technology and power • Ability to cultivate and maintain executive-level sources inside major AI labs, venture capital and private equity, on Capitol Hill, and inside the White House and federal agencies
