• Assist the Commodity Manager in executing strategic sourcing initiatives, including end-to-end RFI/RFP/RFQ processes, supplier selection, qualification and onboarding • Support Make vs. Buy analysis to optimize sourcing decisions • Conduct supplier, market and spend analysis to identify cost-reduction opportunities, alternative sources, emerging risks and commodity or market changes • Support supply-base consolidation and increased spend concentration with preferred and strategic suppliers • Identify opportunities to leverage spend across businesses, locations and product lines to improve pricing, terms, service and supplier relationships • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement cost-saving initiatives through negotiations, volume consolidation, resourcing, specification changes and process optimization • Co-lead RFX through FAI process and transition to Procurement for production purchase orders • Support supplier evaluation, selection and ongoing performance management • Prepare materials and scorecards for Supplier Reviews • Escalate supplier performance, pricing, capacity, delivery and other supply issues to Sourcing • Assist with preparing, reviewing and negotiating contracts, pricing and payment terms, lead times, SLAs, inventory agreements and delivery schedules • Analyze supply-chain data, trends, risks, constraints and opportunities related to inventory, demand, supplier performance, lead times, material availability, cost and working capital • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and KPIs for sourcing and supply-chain performance • Monitor supplier delivery, lead time, purchase price variance, inventory, excess and obsolete inventory, past-due purchase orders, quality and cost savings • Analyze demand, purchasing patterns, forecasts and inventory requirements for material planning and sourcing decisions • Identify shortages and supply constraints before they affect production or customer delivery • Support inventory optimization, inventory-turn and working-capital improvements • Analyze supplier lead times, delivery performance and capacity and recommend actions to improve reliability • Conduct spend, landed-cost and total-cost-of-ownership analyses • Support scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis for sourcing alternatives, supplier changes, demand fluctuations and disruptions • Identify supply-chain risks and assist with mitigation and contingency plans • Support dual-sourcing and supplier-resourcing initiatives • Address shortages, past-due orders, allocation situations and supply disruptions • Analyze supplier and component dependencies to improve business continuity and resiliency • Extract, analyze and interpret ERP, procurement and supply-chain data • Maintain and improve sourcing and supply-chain datasets and master-data accuracy • Develop standardized reporting and analytical tools for the global Sourcing organization • Use advanced Excel and analytical tools to automate recurring reports • Identify opportunities to streamline sourcing, procurement and supply-chain processes • Collaborate with Commodity Management, Procurement, Planning, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, Quality and Finance • Provide analytical support for product introductions, supplier transitions, resourcing projects and manufacturing transfers • Support budgeting, forecasting and cost-reduction planning • Develop analyses and presentations that translate complex supply-chain data into actionable recommendations
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Operations, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field • 2-5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, planning, or supply chain analytics, preferably in a global manufacturing or industrial environment • Experience supporting strategic sourcing activities including RFQs/RFPs, supplier evaluation, negotiations, cost analysis and supplier performance management • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into actionable business recommendations • Understanding of supply chain concepts including inventory management, demand planning, material planning, supplier lead times, safety stock, capacity planning and working capital • Experience analyzing supplier performance, market trends, cost structures and supply chain risks • Proven experience in supplier negotiations, contract management and cost-saving initiatives globally • Ability to persuade, negotiate and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, complex formulas, data manipulation and analytical modeling • Experience developing dashboards and KPI reporting; Power BI or similar business-intelligence experience preferred • Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement tools and supply chain management software • Ability to analyze spend, inventory, demand, supplier and purchasing data from multiple sources • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify trends and root causes from complex datasets • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers • Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Experience within a multi-site global manufacturing organization preferred
