• Provide day-to-day support and optimization of Epic Inpatient clinical applications, including system builds, upgrades, and enhancements • Analyze inpatient clinical and operational workflows to identify optimization opportunities and improve patient care outcomes • Partner with clinicians, nursing leadership, and operational teams to gather requirements and translate clinical needs into Epic Inpatient solutions • Perform and document workflow assessments to determine functional and clinical requirements • Develop and execute system test plans for Epic Inpatient upgrades and enhancements and document results • Manage problem, incident, and change management processes for inpatient clinical systems • Provide daily on-call support for inpatient application-related issues as required • Communicate system issues, enhancements, and workflow changes to clinical and operational stakeholders • Evaluate software releases and new products and recommend process optimizations and expense reductions • Oversee smaller projects or project components and coordinate implementation planning around application releases • Work with cross-functional teams and end users to achieve application integration
• 3+ years of experience supporting Epic Inpatient applications in a healthcare environment • Certification in Epic Inpatient Procedure Orders required • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Clinical Informatics, Information Technology, or a related field preferred • 3+ years of relevant Epic Inpatient experience with a Bachelor’s degree accepted in lieu of degree requirements • 5+ years of relevant Epic Inpatient experience without a Bachelor’s degree • Strong understanding of inpatient clinical workflows, including nursing, provider documentation, orders, and patient care processes • Experience in hospital and patient settings • Experience with Epic Inpatient builds, enhancements, and workflow optimization • Demonstrated experience with system testing, validation, and documentation • Experience with clinical decision support is a plus • Key certification or other credential central to supported systems or applications
