📋 Description

• Provide practical, full product life-cycle legal counseling from ideation through launch and ongoing operations • Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Security, and Marketing on new features and AI-enabled capabilities • Administer ServiceTitan's AI governance program • Develop scalable processes for AI Inventory intake, AI Impact Assessment review, and legal sign-off • Mature AI Design Guidelines as regulations and products evolve • Serve as primary legal contact for internal AI-related initiatives • Conduct legal risk assessments for AI-enabled and other product capabilities • Triage product legal risks across telecom, call-recording, consumer protection, fintech, employment, intellectual property, and confidential information • Evaluate legal and regulatory risks of AI products and tools for internal procurement or platform integration • Define required contractual safeguards • Monitor emerging AI legislation and translate developments into practical internal guidance • Partner with Marketing and Commercial Legal on accurate and substantiated AI-related product claims • Build and maintain playbooks, templates, and training • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Security on AI governance priorities and consistent decision-making • Collaborate with Privacy, Commercial, Litigation, and IP legal teams

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school • Membership in at least one U.S. state bar • 8–10 years of combined law firm and in-house experience counseling technology companies on product development, data, and emerging-technology legal issues • Meaningful hands-on experience advising on generative AI governance, deployment, or compliance • Working knowledge of U.S. consumer protection and communications law, including TCPA • Knowledge of biometric privacy statutes, including BIPA • Knowledge of state automated decision-making and AI laws, including California's CCPA ADMT rules and the Colorado AI Act • Experience advising non-product business functions on legal and compliance considerations of adopting AI-powered tools • Experience with vendor risk, data handling practices, and deployment safeguards • Technology industry experience in a B2B SaaS company • Pragmatic, business-oriented problem solving • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to translate technical and legal complexity into clear, actionable guidance • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously • Experience building or operating an AI governance program preferred • Broader experience with automated decision-making, algorithmic systems, or data-driven products is a strong plus
