📋 Description

• Conduct generative and evaluative research on initiatives in Field and Consumer • Research homeowners, consumers, trade-business users, technicians, and frontline workers • Become the subject-matter expert on people and problems relevant to Field and Consumer • Generate actionable insights to influence product features, functions, design priorities, vision, and roadmaps • Prioritize research questions aligned with team goals • Create and evolve research strategy for Field and Consumer • Collaborate with Data Science and Analytics to track the impact of research recommendations on live products and features • Use AI-assisted analysis for what-if scenarios and package reusable insight objects and prompts • Mentor Associate UX Researchers • Coach Product Designers and PMs on research exploration and discovery • Support and scale self-service usability testing • Partner on usability-study logistics, including scheduling, hardware, software, and remote or on-site sessions • Identify recruiting requirements, write screeners, and source appropriate participants • Interview and evaluate UX Research candidates

🎯 Requirements

• 5-8 years of demonstrated experience collaborating on new products or features from conception to launch • Demonstrated experience conducting impactful research with both business users and their end consumers, ideally in a two-sided or multi-sided product context • Experience conducting field research, such as contextual inquiry, in-home or on-site studies, and ride-alongs, with technicians or frontline workers • Demonstrated experience contributing to strategic research resulting in high-impact product roadmap decisions • Expert understanding of research methodologies and ability to select the best method for a given task • Strong portfolio of research deliverables aligned with business objectives and delivering actionable insights that directly impact decision making • Experience coaching or enabling non-researchers to run their own research is a plus • Experience collaborating effectively across functions and teams • Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
