📋 Description

• Provides crisis and suicide intervention counseling over the telephone to callers needing emergency/crisis assistance • Identifies and suggests appropriate organizations and service providers to meet callers' needs • Monitors callers' situations through case follow-up • Documents and maintains accurate, thorough records of telephone interventions • Reviews daily log-sheets and client records for accurate information recording and maintenance • Supervises and monitors volunteers providing crisis assistance and documentation • Provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention training and consultation to counselors, volunteers, service providers, and community groups • Attends and participates in staff and team meetings • Provides crisis intervention to community groups traumatized by suicide as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Must be a resident of the Greater Louisville area • Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, Human Services, or a related field of study; or • High School diploma or GED with completion of AAS/Lifeline 50 hours of Crisis Intervention/Suicide Prevention training and six months of volunteer time with Seven Counties Services after completion of training • Minimum of six months experience in social services
