• Support the Legal Department in managing real estate development, financing, and corporate transactions • Coordinate and manage real estate due diligence, acquisitions, dispositions, and financings from inception through completion • Review and organize title commitments, surveys, organizational documents, zoning reports, and other due diligence materials • Coordinate with title companies, surveyors, lenders, internal business leads, and outside partners to deliver closing materials • Identify and track title and survey issues and assist counsel with curative documents • Draft and review closing documents, affidavits, resolutions, and transaction-related materials under counsel supervision • Maintain closing checklists, track project milestones, and complete post-closing documentation and archiving • Draft, review, and edit design and construction contracts using AIA Contract Documents software • Coordinate contract execution and track insurance certificates, bonds, and required documentation • Maintain project documentation and report on contract status and deliverables • Compile lender-required due diligence materials and coordinate document review and execution • Prepare and deliver post-closing binders and closing summaries • Assist with entity formations, dissolutions, annual filings, resolutions, certificates, organizational binders, and corporate records • Serve as liaison between Legal, Finance, Development, and external partners • Track deadlines, deliverables, and approvals for closings and development projects • Maintain checklists, databases, and project tracking tools • Conduct legal and factual research • Coordinate signatures, notarizations, and document filings • Manage digital legal files and contract repositories • Perform additional duties as assigned
• Minimum 3–6 years of relevant paralegal experience in real estate development, transactions, or finance within a law firm or in-house legal department • Experience with title and survey review, coordination with title companies, and management of real estate closings required • Proficiency with AIA Contract Documents software preferred • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and document management systems • Associate degree or Paralegal Certificate (or equivalent work experience in a law firm or in-house legal department) • Must be or become a Notary Public • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent transactions • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Detail-oriented with the ability to anticipate needs and resolve issues proactively • Professional judgment, discretion, and ability to manage confidential information • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments • Paralegal certification or equivalent experience • 3–6 years of experience in real estate transactions, leases, or property management legal support • Knowledge of real estate documentation, lease agreements, and closing processes • Familiarity with affordable housing regulatory requirements preferred • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects
