📋 Description

• Lead end-to-end design for the Fanatics App Shop experience, including discovery, browse, merchandising, personalized recommendations, product detail, cart/checkout handoff, cross-sell, and post-purchase moments • Drive ambiguous, multi-milestone design programs toward business outcomes by shaping product vision and managing stakeholders and team capacity • Own the Shop pod’s portion of the FanApp design system, including product cards, merchandising modules, and recommendation surfaces • Prototype in the product code/app environment, using AI tools to explore and validate behavior against real data and backend constraints • Set design evaluation and validation standards for critique, redlines, and engineering handoff • Mentor designers on and around the Shop pod • Partner closely with the Shop pod’s Product Manager and Engineering Manager • Collaborate with FanApp design staff and leads to maintain coherent patterns across Home, Scores, Loyalty, and other app areas • Partner with pod leadership on planning and roadmap-building, influencing priorities through user insight, design principles, and business impact • Improve conversion, repeat purchase, and the discovery-to-cart/checkout journey while maintaining the broader fan experience

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in Product Design, with experience operating at Staff scope and owning design across a team • Experience in e-commerce, shopping, or merchandising design • Strong systems thinking and experience building patterns and components adopted by other teams • Prototyping fluency in the product’s code/app environment, not only Figma • Comfort using AI tools while maintaining rigor • Track record of mentoring designers and setting design/craft standards • Comfort in a mobile-first, fast-moving consumer environment with ambiguity and shifting priorities • Ability to design complete systems and maintain visual and interaction quality • Understanding of data and backend constraints to create feasible, resilient, and predictable interactions
