📋 Description

• Develop, submit, and defend aviation regulatory operational approval requests, waivers, exemptions, and declarations • Guide customers and partners pursuing advanced regulatory projects • Develop and maintain scalable systems to track and oversee regulatory project implementation • Translate emerging regulations into clear internal guidance and actionable plans • Support product demonstrations and technical validation events with flight testing and solutions engineering teams • Advise customer support, product management, and engineering teams on compliant, safe, and scalable product use • Liaise with the FAA and global civil aviation authorities during regulatory reviews, audits, and compliance discussions • Represent Skydio in standards development, industry bodies, and consensus forums

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in aviation, engineering, public policy, or a related field, or equivalent experience • Experience navigating regulatory frameworks for unmanned aircraft operations • Ability to communicate complex technical and regulatory concepts clearly and persuasively • Experience collaborating cross-functionally in fast-paced, high-growth environments • Strong ownership and ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment • Passion for aviation and autonomy • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Ability to travel to client sites and attend technical validation events, including international travel, as required • Manned and unmanned aviation experience is a plus
